Mentor the webseries
Jason, Paul and I have done a few radio shows this past week to publicize our webseries, Mentor. You can purchase all 6 websodes here for $2.99, which Paul reminds me is just the price of a few apples and even better for your wellbeing ’cause it will make you laugh. When was the last time a Fuji made you laugh?
Life & Style
I am in Life & Style magazine this week, alongside Demi’s new face and Juan Pablo’s love brawls. Classy. There are some inaccuracies (I stopped being bulimic a year before I was cast in Baywatch; and I do not prefer to stand “even when talking on the phone” – I walk on my treaddesk! Woohooo! ) but otherwise I am happy that it emphasizes a vegan lifestyle. Life & Style Nov 24 2014
What I did today for 7 hours straight
I swam the Reto Acapulco today, a 13.5 mile swim across Acapulco Bay. Nine other swimmers and I started at 3:30am and I finished 7 hours 20 minutes later. It was a lovely swim – perfect weather and the water temperature was like bath water. I overcame my fear of ocean swimming in the dark as soon as I lowered myself into the water. Ian was on the safety boat throwing me water and shakes in bottles at regular intervals, with a white board to communicate (on which he wrote not only the times for the next feeding, but jokes that made me laugh as I was swimming). How beautiful to see the Acapulco Beach lights as I swam, then the sun rise and the Acapulco skyline at the end! Right before the Reto Acapulco swim start. That is a light on my back so the boat can see me.
Reto Acapulco tomorrow!
I am here in Acapulco, Mexico to swim the 13.5 mile Reto Acapulco, across the bay and back. It starts at 3:30am so I get to swim by moonlight for at least 3 hours. Ian is here to throw me water bottles from the safety boat and he has fashioned a cool rod with a cup on the end to hand me food from afar, since I cannot touch the boat. It is beautiful here, the water is over 80 degrees centigrade. Showers are expected during the swim, which is fine for us swimmers. Harder for the support teams on the boats…

Baywatch friends
I did a photo shoot with Baywatch castmates Jaason Simmons, Michael Bergin and David Chokachi today, for the Dream Loud project. Dream Loud is bringing attention to the drastic cuts in music & arts funding in schools these days. We, of course, took some photos ourselves in the process. As you can see, we have fun together, which is why we are making The B Team!
Vegan of the Year
I am proud to be honoured in October by the nonprofit Last Chance for Animals as Vegan of the Year. Better yet, I am being honoured alongside my brother Jonathan, who as regular readers of my site know, is one of myheroes. Extra wonderful is that another hero of mine, Sam Simon is being awarded the Albert Schweitzer that same night.
